Jannatul’s PhD was conferred on the 6th of July 2022. Her thesis was entitled “The effect of Pseudomonas aeruginosa exoprotein on the nasal mucosal barrier in Chronic rhinosinusitis”. It showed P. aeruginosa isolates from CRS patients have detrimental effects on the mucosal barrier in aerobic and anaerobic conditions and proteomic analysis of the isolates identified unique protein expression in anaerobic conditions.
