THRF announce $2.7 million of funding to BHI and TQEH

The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF) has announced the recipients of their 2017 Grant Funding Round for the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research (BHI) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH). THRF have allocated $2.7 million for research that will be undertaken at the BHI, TQEH, their largest grant round allocation to date at these facilities. The 11 grants and fellowships include "The Basil Hetzel Translational Grant", named in honour of Dr Basil Hetzel AC. This new grant is designed to support high community impact, “shovel ready” projects that have a high likelihood of translating into improved therapy, care or cure within 3 years from the start of the grant.
