Ali graduated with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Adelaide in May 2021, working on advanced mathematical elasticity models. His research interest lies at the intersection between mechanical engineering and medical science; there is great potential to use elasticity modelling to investigate the biological properties of living tissues and identify early cancers. His current project is focused on developing advanced elasticity models to simulate the mechanical characteristics of breast tissue with high mammographic density for the very early detection of breast cancer.
