Maryam has a professional doctorate in pharmacy from the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. With over 10 years experience in cancer research, she has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 2 book chapters by well-known publishers. Her major research experience and focus includes cancer cell biology and reactions towards cytotoxic agents, bio-spectroscopic detection of cancer and translational science in cancer treatment. After a one-year experience as a visiting researcher at the University of South Australia and Basil Hetzel Institute (BHI), she decided to pursue her dream in translational research. Maryam was awarded an ASI scholarship from The University of Adelaide and began her PhD at the BHI in April.
