Thesis title: The use of gastrointestinal ultrasound in the diagnosis and monitoring of inflammatory bowel disease

Tom is a gastroenterologist and general physician undertaking a research fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease and gastrointestinal ultrasound. After completing Science and Medicine degrees at the University of Sydney, Tom moved to Newcastle, NSW, where he gained experience and qualifications in gastroenterology and general & acute care medicine whilst completing a Masters of Clinical Epidemiology. In addition to inflammatory bowel disease research Tom maintains an interest in rural and regional medicine and has a visiting position at Alice Springs Hospital. He has a family with two young daughters and is enjoying the many opportunities Adelaide has to offer.
