Virology Group wins multiple prizes!
Congratulations to three members of Professor Eric Gowans' Virology Group who were awarded prizes at the 11th National Scientific Workshop of the Australian Centre for HIV and Hepatitis Virology Research (ACH2) which was held in the Hunter Valley, NSW, in December 2015.
Dr Danushka Wijesundara won the Robert Dixon award for innovation ($500), PhD student Khamis Tomusange was awarded the Kirby Institute educational grant (HIV; $500) and final year PhD student Jason Gummow received the Australian Centre for Hepatitis Virology travel award valued at $2500. All three awards were judged by the quality of the work and their oral presentation.
