Speaker biography: Dr Fanfan Zhou is an Associate Professor, the Master of Pharmacy program director and head of molecular drug development unit of Sydney Pharmacy School, the University of Sydney. She received her PhD from the Department of Pharmaceutical Science, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, USA. She joined the University of Sydney after she completed her PhD in 2008. Her current research focuses on two main themes: one is drug discovery and development for cancers and retinal diseases; and the other one is structure-function relationship and molecular regulation of human Solute Carrier Transporters. Her research also contributes to targeted drug design, pharmacogenomics of anti-cancer agents and natural compound research.
