Professor Lisa Amir, MBBS MMed PhD IBCLC, is a general practitioner and lactation consultant. She works in breastfeeding medicine at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. She is a Principal Research Fellow at the Judith Lumley Centre, La Trobe University, working on a range of projects around breastfeeding, including nipple and breast pain, breastmilk production and breastfeeding in public. She established the International Breastfeeding Journal in 2006 and continues as the Editor-in-Chief.
