Emma joined the ENT Surgery group at the BHI as the Research Coordinator in May 2022 where she wishes to advance her skills in the clinical side of inflammation research. In her new role she will be coordinating clinical trials for the group. Emma has a strong research background in cytokine receptor biology in the context of allergy and inflammation and haematological cancers, in particular acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She has addressed research questions in this area using primary patient samples as well as numerous mammalian cell and small animal models as a senior research assistant at the Centre for Cancer Biology (UniSA/CALHN) prior to taking up this role.


Emma has a Bachelor of Science from The University of Adelaide with Honours in Biochemistry.
