Thesis title: Extending the scope of the gastroenterology dietitian: Improving access to gastroenterology specialist care in a tertiary setting.


Sam has worked as a clinical dietitian for 14 years with a special interest in gastrointestinal disorders including inflammatory bowel disease and functional gastrointestinal disorders. Sam is currently undertaking her PhD exploring the role of the extended scope of practice dietitian to increase access to health care within a tertiary gastroenterology service.
