The Respiratory Research Group is the research arm of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Respiratory Medicine Unit and is involved in running a number of Clinical Trials and Investigator-led projects. The unit has a number of research studies underway addressing knowledge and practice gaps for prevalent respiratory conditions, including: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, bronchiectasis, sleep apnoea, pneumonia, respiratory failure and smoking. Other key areas of research are non-invasive ventilation and intervention pulmonology and indigenous health.
